Intensity landscape
MATHEMATICAL PLOTThe 2D views remain available while the 3D plot loads.
Height shows diffraction intensity, not the shape of a crystal. qₓ and qᵧ run from −2.25 to +2.25 cycles per model unit.
Height:
Fixed log height, 0–1. Colours always use the diffraction image’s fixed log scale.
Inspect one intensity sample
Tap the landscape or use these controls. A white marker connects the same calculated sample in both views.
The vertical control follows image rows: left is +2.25; right is −2.25 cycles per model unit.
No sample selected.
Drag or use arrow keys on the plot to turn it; Home resets the camera. The landscape uses the exact image samples with fixed scales. Connecting them into a mesh adds no extra information. Moving the camera or changing height scale does not change the diffraction or your chapter progress.
