A LITTLE SCIENCE

An image of what was inside

In FIB-SEM serial imaging, an ion beam removes material and an electron beam images each newly exposed face. The material is gone, but its recorded images remain.

The gold outline marks the planned cut. Moving deeper removes the material before that face; it does not take images at the skipped depths. Saved sections are images placed at their original positions, not pieces of material left inside the block. Empty gaps were not imaged.

The objects are invented, simplified geometry. The rounded plug has a short constant-width middle; it is not a mathematical sphere. The known answer connects the defined profiles to show the complete game model, including areas you did not image. It is not a reconstruction from your cuts.

Depths, cut limits and motion are game quantities, with no physical scale or timing. The specimen holder is an illustrative stage, not a working FIB instrument. Colours identify the game materials; they do not predict electron contrast.

This is a spatial puzzle, not an instrument procedure or a test of microscopy skill. No account, timer or leaderboard. Your lab sessions stay untouched.
